Is it true that if you breed two horses together and one is an overo and they produce a breeding stock, that the breeding stock can produce an overo? Is is true that if you breed two horses together and one is a tobiano and they produce a breeding stock, that the breeding stock can not produce another tobiano?
As far as overos......yes a breed stock from an overo parent can carry the overo gene. You can have them tested at U.C. Davis to find out for sure. Hope this helps.
Interesting.. I have a very loud over splashed white overo mare with two blue eyes.. She is out of two breedstocks.. I am hoping I get color from her bred to my QH stallion..
