Hello, Bred my mare to an outside stallion last year and the resulting foal is hermaphrodite. Found out AFTER my foal was born there are two other confirmed foals from this same stallion that are hermaphrodite. Anyone ever been in a situation like this? Stallion owner refuses responsibility. Thanks for any info, Melisss
You could try filing in small claims (depending on value of breeding, etc.) 50/50 chance basically I would say - contract probably doesn't specify more than "live foal guarantee" which you have. But, you can argue that this was a known condition (like puppy lemon law?) Good luck - if you try it, let me know how you make out.
