Hello, what colors do you all think we can get from a grey mare looks roan breed to a sorrel tobiano stud? the mare's dam is a bay solid and the mare's sire is a grey stud. the sire's parents are both black tobiano. thanks melissa
Melissa- Well it's very hard to say if you don't know what colour the mare is 'under' the grey (what colour she was before she began turning grey). Grey is a colour modifier, not a colour itself. One thing that is certain is that your foal will have a 50% chance of turning grey and there is the possibility it will be pinto as well.
If we were to guess that the grey mare is bay under the grey, your colour possibilities would be -
Sorrel Bay Black
All with a chance of having the pinto pattern and 50% chance of turning grey.
