Hey Jos, I love your stallion calculator but I don't have internet in my lab so I can't use it. I'm using Access and I have figured out concentration, progressive motility, semen/extender ratio and PM sperm needed per dose. But I'm having trouble figuring out the formula to get the PM sperm/extender in a fixed amount. It's driving me nut because I use to be an Algebra wiz in college.

Even if I don't use access to do a data base I need to know how to make it fit.

A question about "Final Desired Extended Concentration (in millions of sperm per ml): x10-6/ml" Why 25 million or 50 million per ml? Why send 25 million/ml when you can send 50 million/ml? (Think I know the answer)
Thank Jos

Good luck on building a calculator - I wrote 64 pages of code to run the one that's on here! :-)

Some seminal plasma is more toxic than others, so requires more dilution. The majority of stallions will do better at 25 m/ml however if the initial concentration is extremely high (and hence lower volume of seminal plasma) going with the higher concentration is often possible (which uses less extender).
