Has anyone had any experience with EST Semen shippers, the 120 hour model? I use only Equine Express ll with great results but I would like to go to a permanent shipper.

We evaluated the EST shipper, and found that it had excellent longevity of cooling, but we had some concerns in that there are more "replaceable parts" than there are in the Equitainer. Essentially, the EST shipper that we evaluated was almost identical to the Equine Express II but with a plastic "suitcase" surrounding the Styrofoam insulation portion. This means that in our opinion there is still a possibility of damage to the Styrofoam or other interior parts - with subsequent compromising of the insulative quality and need to replace it - and maybe a need to replace the coolant "brick" more often than the cans found in the Equitainer. We also had some concerns about plastic hinges and catches being as durable as we would like.
FWIW, we still consider the Equitainer I (note I not II) to be the "gold standard" of the industry, and worth the extra cost of initial investment.
