Ok, i just purchased my first farm (and stallion!). I have no problem with natural breeding, but i am clueless in EVERY aspect of AI and shipping semen. I am wanting to start shipping semen.

Is there a how to article on the exact procedure of collecting, mixing, and shipping semen? Or some books that someone can point me to? I need to know about extenders & the collecting/shiping process.
The "lovely" lady i got everything from promised to show me all of this but left me "high and dry" once the $$$ hit her hands

PLEASE, ANY/ALL help is appreciated. Thank you SOO much.

You can email me at shaktiarabians@hotmail.com as well.

I would honestly recommend taking a Breeding Course to learn how to collect and ship semen properly. It is virtually impossible to read material and books and be able to do it on your own as you'll need to learn hands on with the stallion and how to evaluate sperm motility under a microscope, etc. If, for some reason, you don't have access to a breeding course, I would recommend taking your stallion to a Reproduction Specialist and work with them - watching and learning so you can eventually do it yourself one day. But, nothing beats doing a Transported Semen Course!
