View details about stallions standing at the stallion station

In addition to its other services, LLC also offers a stallion station service at its facility in Oklahoma, where breeding stallions may be boarded for the breeding season, or permanently. Stallions can have semen collected and shipped from the facility, including to Canada (currently under CEM restrictions for semen importation from the USA). Stallions live out in paddocks with shelters and trees offering shade and protection from the weather. Large bales of hay are provided to ensure the potential for continual grazing (which is healthier for horses), although custom hay is also provided where needed. Horses are grained twice daily (or more if required) using Nutrena feeds. The stallion paddocks are adjacent to each other, separated by a minimum of 10' aisleways, and the fencing is Ramm Flex-Fence rail with electrified ShockLine fencing as a top line.

Our laboratory is well equipped with high technology equipment and supplies, enabling us to ship the best quality semen available from the resident stallions, or from stallions visiting for semen collection and processing. Semen can be shipped 7 days a week (M-F by courier or airline counter-counter; Sat. and Sun. by airline only). The only exception is if there is a specific reason related to semen quality or the health of the stallion (e.g. an older stallion that does not have adequate sperm production for a daily shipment), in which case shipping days may be limited. All shipments are evaluated using our Hamilton-Thorne CEROS Computer Assisted Semen Analyser. All stallions standing at LLC undergo a cooled semen evaluation at the beginning of every season to ensure that the semen being shipped has the potential to be the best quality when the mare-owner receives it.

We are often asked by mare owners "what do you charge for semen shipments from these stallion?". Below is an outline of the charges applied by LLC for the collection, processing and shipment of cooled semen shipments from stallions standing at the Oklahoma facility.
We do not charge "chute fees", "stallion handling fees" or similar charges, which we consider to be unreasonable surcharges in excess of a charge already applied.

Charges for cooled semen shipment within the Continental USA
Collection charge: $175
Equitainer deposit (refunded if the Equitainer is returned clean within 5 days - if credit card is used a "hold" is applied) - we do not charge a rental fee for the Equitainer: $300
Semen shipment courier fee: An estimated "base rate" will be $75 for the outgoing (overnight) shipment and $25 (ground) for the return shipment. To obtain an accurate estimate, go to and create a shipment quote. Our Zip Code is 73098. The Equitainer dimensions are 18" x 11" x 11" with a weight of 12 lbs.
Additional Fees for Shipments to Canada
Note: Mare owner must obtain an import permit from CFIA, the original of which must be in our possession for "single shipment" permits, or a copy for "multiple shipment" permits prior to semen collection.
USDA Document Certification (at cost): $83
Same day courier charge for documents to and from USDA (these are then sent with the semen): $175
Semen shipment courier fee to Canada are charged at cost, but will be significantly greater than for shipment within the USA. Go to and create a quote as described above.
Note that the above applies only to cooled semen shipments - frozen semen shipments carry different charges.

2017 Stallions
(Details below are provided by the stallion owners)

1997 Hanoverian
Tested EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Allerbester was bred in 1997 in Germany by Heinz Reismann. Sired by Federal Dressage Champion Alabaster, this stallion clearly demonstrates the imprint of his sire. Alabaster is also the sire of Isabell Werth's Grand Prix horse Apache.

Allerbester's dam, State Premium mare Wiscaria is sired by Walt Disney I, winner of his Stallion Performance Test at Adelheidsdorf. A champion in advanced level dressage, Walt Disney I is sired by World Cup I - twice Vice Champion DLG stallion and was proclaimed "Hanoverian Stallion" of the year in 1997.

Allerbester demonstrates correct conformation, elastic gaits and a very rideable workman-like disposition. He successfully completed his 100 Day Stallion Performance Test in California in 2000 at the young age of 3 with only 3 months of riding experience prior to testing.

Allerbester demonstrates a kind and willing temperament with a puppy dog personality. A large framed stallion, he will add height, bone and a user friendly temperament.

1995 Hanoverian
Tested EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Argosy is an "all-round" (multi-talented) stallion of international quality. He is an athletic dressage type and proved it his first year showing. He qualified for the BLM championships his very first year competition. He won Reserve Champion for the PHR Silver Stirrup Awards and place 10th in the USDF All Breed Awards. But his "way of going" and beautiful, bold jump has also turned the heads of well-known hunter/jumper breeders nationwide. Joe Fargis evaluated Argosy in a private jumping session as a youngster as a "very talented, natural jumper". Mare owners are pleased with what he's producing. So much so that many are breeding back to him.

Belafonte d'Avalon

ISR Sportpony
2007 German Riding Pony
Tested EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Belafonte d'Avalon is the result of some of the best sport horse and sport pony breeding in the world. His dam, Mata Hari, is by our jumper stallion, Mannhattan and out of the pony mare, Idealiste. Idealiste was 14:1 hands tall, out of Kathy's endurance racing Anglo Arabian mare and by the Oldenburg stallion, Ideal. Belafonte's sire is the German Riding pony, Hilkens Black Delight. Hilkens Black Delight, a Weser-Ems stallion, won the 2005 Weser-Ems licensing and was the first pony ever to be invited to the Oldenburger Stallion's Parade where he received a standing ovation and was described as being "as close to perfection as possible". He was described by the licensing committee as the most stunning pony they had seen. Belafonte is following in his father's footsteps in receiving similar praise for his outstanding conformation, movement and character.

Belafonte went on to fulfill his performance requirement by attending the 30 Day Pony Stallion Testing in October of 2010. He again impressed the judges with his enthusiastic and "can do" attitude and successfully completed the testing with one of the highest scores ever awarded both in North America and in Europe.

Belafonte competed in eventing, dressage and stadium jumping under the expert skill and training of Rebecca Brown of RB Riding. The pair were undefeated in 6 out 7 times in 2013 and finished as Area V Champions at Training Level and 8th at Training at the American Eventing Championships. Belafonte also competed with his partner, Rebecca, in Dressage and Stadium Jumping (1.20 meters) and never placed less than second. As he is a stallion and ridden by an adult, he competed with the "big kids".

Belafonte is fully licensed, approved and activated with the Rheinland Pfalz-Saar, Weser-Ems. He is also fully licensed and approved but not currently activated with Sport Pony Studbook Society - SPSS (UK - where semen is available for all of Europe), International Sporthorse Registry - Pony Division, and Le Cheval de Sport Belge (sBs).

Colorado Skrødstrup

1999 15.3 hh Leopard Knabstrupper Stallion
Tested EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Colorado Skrødstrup was imported from Denmark in 2006. He was the 2004 Knabstrupper Stallion Grading Champion in Denmark. A bay leopard spotted stallion Colorado Skrødstrup is the 2nd registered and approved Knabstrupper stallion in the USA and the only Knabtrupper stallion in the world to have successfully completed a recognised FN stallion test, which earned him "Elite Status" - again currently the only Knabstrupper stallion worldwide to hold that award. Attending the FN 70-day stallion performance test in 2010, Colorado Skrødstrup achieved 5th place overall, and 4th place in the dressage scoring (which includes "interior" scores for test aspects such as rideability). Dracula d'Avalon

German Oldenburg Verband
2009 Black 16:2 hh Oldenburg Stallion
Tested EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Avalon Equine's breeding goals have always been to produce International caliber horses that the amateur owner/rider could compete. In order to accomplish that, we believe that not only does a horse have to be athletic, talented and have a flawless conformation, it must also possess a temperament that is flawless, as well. With Dracula, we believe we have accomplished that. His dam, Morticia, is one of our top broodmares that has produced two licensed sons. Morticia is by Mannhattan who himself competed to Level 8 in the jumpers before retiring due to an injury. She is out of a Frohwind daughter that also competed successfully in dressage until becoming a broodmare.

Dracula is by Davidor. Davidor, an impressive black Hanoverian stallion by Davignon and out of Wanessa (Warkant/Eiger). Davidor was a proven FEI stallion, having shown successfully through Intermediare in Germany before his importation. His sire, Davignon I, is considered to be one of Donnerhall's best sons, having earned Class I scores at his licensing in 1991 before going on to win the Bundeschampionat in 1992. Davidor's damsire, Warkant, is by World Cup I, who also sired the famous Weltmeyer. Like Davignon I, Warkant earned Class I scores at his performance testing and is the sire of numerous approved sons, as well as top competition horses such as Hubertus Schmidt's Olympic mount, Wansuela Suerte. Davidor's dam, Wanessa, is a proven producer and a Bundeschampionat winner as well. She has consistently been represented at stallion licensings by her sons and produced mares of top quality.

Dracula is currently in training and will compete with his co-owner, Philesha Chandler!

ES Toronto

2000 Bay 16:3 hands Imported KWPN
EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Toronto, an Elite Stallion with the Hanoverian Verband, is a Dutch stallion acquired by the Celle State Stud to further the jumping talent of the breeding program. His performance test single score in jumping was 9.3. This powerful bay stallion descends from the jumping horse producer "Now or Never M," who is stationed in Holland. Toronto's grandsire is the prepotent Voltaire, a consistent sire of international jumpers with temperaments of gold. The damline is also very interesting - Toronto's damsire is Belisar by Saros xx, who is a full brother to Swazi xx, the sire of the Trakehner stallion Consul.

The scope and athleticism of Toronto can certainly be attributed to his sire, the Voltaire son Now or Never M. Voltaire looks back on a long lasting career in international show jumping ridden by Jos Lansink. He was among the top jumping horses at shows in Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden and at Olympia in London. Voltaire obviously passed on his characteristic ability to perform to his offspring both in dressage and jumping. He is descended from the legendary Furioso II who like none before him influenced Germany's horse populations by producing offspring with enormous versatility and various purposes.

Now or Never M has many approved sons to his credit and is well on his way to establishing his own line in Hanoverian breeding. Now or Never M was champion in 's-Hertogenbosch in 1998. He was a stallion of great presence. He won the finals in the IAN trophy in the KWPN competition in the year 2000. In 2001, Now or Never M gained 7th place. He was one of the 12 selected KWPN horses for the World Championships at Lanaken in 2001 and he won first place in the Stallion Competition 2000/2001 in Giesbeek. Now or Never M has proven himself as a sire by producing a multitude of uniform foals with very good riding type, good quality and outstanding presence. They are known for having wonderful movement, good minds and exceptional jumping ability. Now or Never M currently has a very high breeding value of 152 points for jumping on the German FN’s ranking system and has shown to consistently improve the canter.

Toronto's dam is by Belisar, a Saros xx son. Saros comes from a strong line of successful steeplechasers, race winners, and sport horses. The infusion of Thoroughbred blood is essential in warmblood breeding and this particular line has had an excellent influence which can also be seen through the Trakehner stallion Consul.

Toronto gained the following scores at his performance test; character 8, temperament 8, willingness to perform 8, conformation 8, trot 6.33, canter 8 walk 7.67, natural jumping ability 9, free jumping 8,83, jumping manner 9, jumping technique 8.67, cross country 10. He won the jumping phase of the test which could be expected because of his outstanding pedigree. Among his offspring produced to date, he has one licensed son, 5 state premium mares, 15 auction horses.

Hengstleistungsprüfung (Stallion Performance Test) 2003 - Adelheidsdorf
Overall score: 123.68 / 4th of 39
Dressage score: 103.05 - 15th of 39
Jumping score: 135.60 - 1st of 39

1999 Double-dilute Cremello Thoroughbred Stallion
EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Goldmaker is an athletic, flashy guy that just hasn't had the opportunity to prove himself in the performance arena. Goldmaker successfully completed his 70 day Stallion Performance test in 2011 at the respectable age of 12. He is fully licensed RPSI Studbook I with a lifetime breeding license.

Throughout the 70 Day Stallion Test, Goldmaker proved himself to be enthusiastic and talented over fences, demonstrating beautiful bascule and lovely form. He received high marks for his rideability, character and temperament. He wowed ALL of the judges at the testing - both registry inspectors and testing judges - with his exceptional cross country ability. With a balanced, cadenced canter and a good trot, he is producing some exceptional foals out of warmblood mares. Once going under saddle, these should make some exceptional hunter prospects as well as some talented eventers, with the added bonus of the unusual coloring.

Goldmaker's unusual double-dilute cremello coloring - the only Thoroughbred stallion so coloured world-wide licensed to produce warmblood foals - guarantees mare owners that their foals out of bay, chestnut or black mares will be buckskin, palomino or smoky blacks respectively - a bonus to go with his exceptional conformation, temperament and athletic talent!

Hertog Jan v.d. Paddensteeg

2002 16.1 hh Imported Dutch Friesian Stallion
EVA Seronegative then Vaccinated/Titres Checked Annually
Jan has been our dream come true. He is everything you could ask a stallion to be. He is a gentleman, a friend, and a confident. Jan has proven faithful in passing on his solid feet, large bone, and people pleasing disposition.

Jan was rated 1st Premium at his Keuring in the Netherlands before being imported to the United States. With limited showing due to owners life circumstances, he earned a USDF DSHB Reserve Regional Championship. He is sired by World Champion Brandus 345. Jan's offspring are carrying on the tradition, winning championships for themselves. But his legacy barely begins in the show ring. The majority of his offspring are owned and trained by amateurs that love them as part of the family.
