Problems breeding AI Fresh Cooled

Postby LovemySinbad » Fri May 04, 2018 5:57 pm

I have a suspicion that a vet is not recognizing hemoragic follicles and is trying to breed on them, which is resulting in zero pregnancies. All else is going like clockwork. The concern is, he/she is always confirming ovulation, and we understand that the HAF follicles do not ovulate? So is this still a possibility? Not sure he/she is recognizing the follicle is in fact a HAF. Is it possible if he /she is not recognizing it as a HAF that in a day or two post ovulation, it has disappeared on it's own and would look to be an ovulation. Reason being a mare he was ready to order semen on had a 39 follicle and a smaller one. Mare was taken to another repro clinic at owner request and the repro clinic said it was not a breedable follicle and was in fact a hemoragic follicle. They are now following the smaller one to breed on. Alot of ovulation and injections to bring said mares into season and desolarin have been given to these mares, which we understand can help cause HAF? THoughts?
