Cloudy white liquid coming out of udders?

Postby ElishaJC » Wed May 14, 2014 9:41 am

Hi, I bought my mare just over two months ago. In the past week she has begun to bag and I can squeeze cloudy white liquid out of them. She is quite sensitive around them and around her belly.
Her belly is not huge but she is in full work 6 days a week at an hour a day.
She came over from Ireland and I have no clue what happened over there (except she was beaten!). My vet thinks she has previously had a foal before.
Was just wandering if she could be pregnant?

I also forgot to mention that with the increase in work she has not changed shape (belly that is), normally with the increase in work they'd get slimmer, but she hasn't.

It is possible that the mare is pregnant, so you should have her checked by your veterinarian.
We're always happy to try and help, but don't forget to check the articles section
of the website too, which has a search engine to help you look for answers!
