Inducing ovulation

Postby serobins » Wed Jan 14, 2015 6:50 pm

I am teaching "Veterinary Pharmacy," an elective course for pharmacy students. Does anyone know of studies comparing the effectiveness of deslorelin, hCG, and reLH in inducing ovulation in mares with appropriately sized follicles?

I'm not sure you'll find all three compared in the same paper, but hCG and Delorelin are compared in papers prepared by BET Pharm which can be reviewed on their site at http://www.betpharm.com/pub.htm You will have to see if they were published elsewhere as well.

I would encourage you to also look at comparing those hormones with Histrelin, which also has favourable promotional abilities.

I think Dan Sharp at U-FL did some work on reLH.
We're always happy to try and help, but don't forget to check the articles section
of the website too, which has a search engine to help you look for answers!
