How to repair Missouri AV

Postby cdnhorse » Wed May 22, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi all, decided to post this here as didn't know where else to put this question.
We have a Missouri AV that separated on us last year. Basically the whole valve section separated off from the main body of the AV where it was laminated together. We have tried a variety of different types of glues to stick it back on, to no avail. Looks like it needs to be somehow laminated back onto main body of the AV but we don't know where to take it to have this done. Have taken it to our local tire repair guys and they don't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole - afraid they'll wreck it.

The main body of the AV is still just fine and the rubber integrity is still good, so would really like to try to fix this so we can use it again, if possible. We have a Colorado AV that we are using in the interm, however there are a couple of our stallions who seem to prefer the Missouri (as does the handler since it is so much lighter!).

I am thinkin that this can't be that uncommon of a problem and am wondering if and how others have dealt with this?

Much appreciated.

PS will repost in the equiptment for sale/wanted section too, just so that more people might see this.

It's been removed from the "for sale" section as it's not for sale - please keep posts on topic for the section! Either the Stallion Handling or General Stallion Questions would have worked, but you've put it here now!! :D Thanks!!
